Wedding Receptions!

I have always loved wedding receptions- friends, food, family, telling the bride how AMAZINGLY GORGOUS her dress is, food, all that good stuff.
I just came home from a wedding reception for my dads cousin Paul, and his fiance Melanie.
Can I just say, that they look AMAZING together? I'm not gonna lie, my dad's cousin is good looking. And Melanie, OH MY WORD! She is BEAUTIFUL! And, what's better, she wants to become a piano teacher! So yeah, I think she's pretty great. I hope I get to see them a lot over the next few years.

Paul and Melanie are both performers. Paul was in the Nauvoo pagaent and met a friend of mine, (Brooke :D ) and both Mel and Paul are in Savior of the World this year. Ever since Brooke talked about the Nauvoo Pagaent, I have wanted to be in it. Like, as a backround person. Even that would be a great experience. Anyway, I love them both, CONGRATS, and HAPPY NEW YEAR to everyone!

I hope that everyone had a very very merry Christmas! The only thing that could've possibly made mine better is if there was some snow... hopefully there will be soon :) HAVE A HAPPY NEW YEAR!!

Another Christmas Song!!

This is another one of my favorite songs from owl city, that I just discovered yesterday.

Peppermint Winter

There’s the snow
Look out below
And bundle up
Cause here it comes
Run outside
So starry eyed
A snowball fight breaks out
And winter has finally begun
I twirl through the driveway with angelic grace
Till I slip on the sidewalk and fall on my face
This peppermint winter is so sugar sweet
I don’t need to taste to believe
What’s December without Christmas Eve
Hop in the sleigh
And we’ll glide away
Into the night
And we’ll sip on moonlight
Runny noseMy frosty toes
Are getting cold but I feel alive
So I smile wide
The snowflakes start falling and I start to float
Till my mean older brother stuffs snow down my coat
This peppermint winter is so sugar sweet
I don’t need to taste to believe
What’s December without Christmas Eve
All this holiday cheer
Heaven knows where it goes
But it returns every year
And though this winter does nothing but storm
The joy in my heart is ablaze and it’s keeping me warm
It’s keeping me warm
It’s keeping me warm
I rip off the wrapping and tear through the box
Till I end up with 45 new pairs of socks
This peppermint winter is so sugar sweet
I don’t need to taste to believe
What’s December without Christmas Eve

Whoo Hoo! Christmas is Coming!!!

Many things have been found this week in the dumpster behind my dads work. For example.. Musical Gold!

All these books! Theory, Technique, Performance, and Piano for levels Primer through 3. I only have the Theory book for level 4.
Look at how beat up my piano is... a new one for Christmas might be nice... hint hint....
This is one of my all time favorite ornaments that we put on our lovely Christmas tree. It reminds me of YW :D
                                                               Another favorite
I made this one for my mom in 6th grade.
Right before this post my mom announced that our aund Donna had sent us some REAL FLORIDA TANGERINES!!! Here is James Maddison enjoying his. (I couldn't get it to go right side up.. sorry :P)
My mom enjoying hers as well! (Again... sorry for the sideways picture.)
And here's mine. This picture does not do this tangerine justice.

The Juicy contents! See those peels? In reality they're a much darker and vibrant orange color.
                                                                All that remains.....
Here are just a few random pictures. My silly dooda and my lovely mooma at my cousins baptism.
Me and my lovely spectacular amazing great awesome totally intense cousins!! (from left to right, Me, Nat, and Rach)
And, last but definately NOT the least in ANY way, my mothers rolo cookies. MMMMMMMMMMM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My today.

Once there was a very wise horse whisperer and a traveling/archaeologist/writer/musician/photographer. (the one with many jobs.) the horse whisperer was the many jobbed ones best friend. The horse whisperer said many wise things, and often said, 'so close, yet so far!' the one with many jobs really agreed with her on this and often thought of it herself. Then, the horse whisperer moved to a land far far away, called AZ, and should be coming back soon because her father, the law student, graduated last week and they said they would probably come back once that happened and everybody misses them. Anyway. The one with many jobs thought of that saying very often, especially on the Monday before Christmas break.

Many moons later (20 min) the many jobbed one decided that she should get a job over the summer. "I shall work in the library, she thought." so, using the convenient PHS computers she quickly looked up jobs that she possibly could've done. Sadly, none were available, but things can change in 6 months.

Afterwards, her dad brought up a joke he had told the family the other day. "why do bees buzz?" he asked. "oh brother." the many jobbed one mumbled. "you'd buzz too if someone stole your honey and nectar!!" her father is known in the ward of their village as the, 'favorite', among many of the young men who lived there. Her dad then proceded to burst in a fit of laughter that could not be controlled. Have the young men heard this one? "I woke up in the mornin with snot in my nose, snot in my nose, snot in my nose, I blew it so hard that it fell on my toes, fell on my toes, fell on my toes," this is a favorite among the men/boys in the home of the many jobbed one.

Later, the many jobbed one realized with a start that she would be the majestic age of 15 next year. And, that her brother, russel, would be a teenager. Taking this in, she collapsed to the floor because she believes that her brother will never truly grow out of 11.

In the evening of this fine day, after being revived with one of her mothers famous Rolo cookies (which many should be getting this week,) she felt the need to blog about this exciting, adventurous day full of amazing discoveries. The many jobbed one hurriedly took out the iPad, sat on the floor of her mothers bedroom and typed it all out.

Looking it over, she became satisfied and thought, 'maybe mom will let me eat the cookie that she revived me with...'

The end
:D

the story of the day

You know, I always thought I wanted to be a music teacher when I grew up. But now I'm in High school, and I'm trying new things, I'm learning so much more about the world, and I don't think I can just be ONE thing when I grow up. I'm going to have to be many.
My resolution is: I will be a world traveling archaeologist who writes about everything, sketches everything, teaches piano on the side, knows many languages, and is a photographer.
Of course, this will all be AFTER my kids move out.
Until then I will simply have to pick one.
Maybe I'll be a teacher.
One of those cool ones that everyone remembers. Like my geography teacher.
She had us take a quiz today, and for each question we had to write a haiku.
I'm going to write a haiku right now:

My head is pounding.
Tomorrow's my recital.
Next week starts the break!

Speaking of my recital, it's tomorrow, at the Piano Gallery in Orem. It starts at 2:45, and will be much much longer then many are used to. There will probably be around 40 students and they're families there. Crazy stuff! I will be playing "Fantasy on O Holy Night" by Marshall McDonald. If you can't make it I'll put up recordings of my brothers and I playing.

Anyway, there you have it. The story of the day.

And your assignment is...

Okay, so I'm not gonna be able to go to the combined activity next week, so I have some assignments for all those who are going.
Someone has to take a ton of pictures.
Someone else has to drink hot chocolate.
Someone has to have a donut.
Someone has to say that the temple is georgous.
Someone has to get cold.
Someone has to sing a christmas carol if the opportunity arises.
Someone has to say that the lights are amazing.
As long as you do this for my sake, I will be happy. :D

The Christmas Song

This is one of my all time favorite Christmas Songs, from one of my all time favorite Artists, OWL CITY. Enjoy! (I highlighted my favorite part...) :D
It's Christmas and we walk alone
Two strangers with no one to miss us
On our own
Out in the cold

Trudging onward
Braving a harsh winter storm
You and I met passing by
And now our spirits feel warm

I don't have anyone at home to talk to
And you don't have anything to do
So I'll spend my Christmas with you
I'll spend my Christmas with you

It's Christmas and we are in love
With the way that the soft snowflakes kiss us
From far above
The blustery breeze

Trudging onward
Braving a harsh winter storm
You and I met passing by
And now our spirits feel warm

I believe that Jesus is truly the only way
I celebrate Christmas because it's his birthday

I don't have anyone at home to talk to
And you don't have anything to do
So I'll spend my Christmas with you
I'll spend my Christmas with you
I'll spend my Christmas with you
I'll spend my Christmas with you

How fast can a chiuaua run?

Being chased by a chiuaua is not a very fun thing. In fact, it's kind of scary.
Last night I was sprinting over to where Russel was, to bring him home for dinner, and as I rounded a corner I heard an odd noise in the trees that were across the street. Not really thinking much of it, I kept on running, and then a chiuaua jumped out of the trees and started chasing me. It was crazy! I ran on faster, and finally made it to the friends house, and the dumb dog ran away.
That's my story from yesterday.

TODAY, however, is totally different.
I had my holiday dinner today! (and my amazingly amazing cousin got baptized, CONGRATS KIKI!) The show was a big hit, and when I performed I only messed up (noticabley..... I actually had to restart the phrase. -_-) once! And since we had two showings, I got to play a second time, and I went in with much more confidence and messed up once (noticabley, but I made a super quick recovery) and had a few other mistakes here and there that I don't think were noticeable. So anyway, I wish that more people could've come and supported our choirs, but I am still glad and grateful that my parents and grandparents were able to come! Along with several people from our ward. Thank you to all who supported!!!!

Oh! And I finally saw Harry Potter PART 2!! It was awesome! (oh my goodness. it took me forever to type these three little paragraphs. I've been sitting here for like, twenty minutes. My fingers are broken. GAAA! That reminds me, the second time I played at the dinner the low E key was broken!!! And the low E is like a super main note, so whenever I had a roll with the low E it was dumb because the key was broken. Like my fingers.)
