Oh Christmas!!

One thing that I think teachers are very proud of is the ways that they get students involved in the Christmas season.
For example! I took one of the hardest tests of my life today and just discovered that I failed it. Second test that I've ever failed in my entire life. Both have been at Christmas time.
Today I looked at my 'notty' grade and said 'Oh Christmas!'
When I go to my math class tomorrow my test will be covered in a festive red color!
I will then proceed to throw it into the green garbage can.
Do you see how festive this whole process is? I'll bet that teachers are just DANDY seeing all the Christmas spirit that they put into their students.
*Sigh*, ya gotta love finals week.

Fitness and my accent

Over the summer I decided to go off sugar. I had limits- sure I splurged here and there (4 times total) but I did pretty well. I wanted to get fit and going off sugar really did help! I have a sugar addiction.... it's bad. Anyway!! I felt dang good over my summer of no sugar.
And I've decided to do it again! However, this time it will be on a much larger scale.
I'm going off sugar for a whole year.
I'm sick of being a lump of life and hardly ever exersising and having pudgyness.
So, it's going to change.
But it's going to be hard and I'm probably going to mumble and grumble but it will all be worth it in the end!!
Anyway, just felt like sharing... anyone want to do it with me?
Last time I did it one of my spectacular church leaders did it with me and she's still going, and will be until the beginning of next year.
I'm really excited! I want to start now but I really want to start at the beginning of the year... that's my major goal.
So yeah :D I'm excited to be fit :)

Now! About my accent. I'm from Utah. I don't think that the letter T exists because the letter D sounds just as fancy.
I think about how I talk a lot. Once during a class when I was bored I sounded out the alphabet on my paper.
It went something like this... "ayee bee cee dee eee eff gee, aitch aie jay kay ell emm enn oh pee, keeooow arr ess tee euu vee, duubbleeuu ecks, wahy zee..."
Then I thought, "what if the way I talk was spelled out instead of.. well.. normally?" Almost like in My Fair Lady, at the very beginning when Professor Higgins is writing down Eliza's terrible speech.

I have come up with this:
Luuk at the mowins!!
Luuk at tha!!
Stop iiih!

Twas All Hallows Eve...

Miss Mary Poppins and Eliza Doolittle

The hats are my favorite part!
Okay. So these three munchkins planned for MONTHS to dress up as the blue, green and red Links from The Four Swords video game/comic.
They carved and painted their own swords and shields, searched everywhere for the perfect medicine bottles and boots and belts and all that good stuff and I think that they did a FANTASTIC JOB!!

They are all wearing matching dresses that aren't dresses because they are all boy :)
~Rachel, you are fantastic~

Anyway! Halloween was very exciting overall. Miss Eliza and I went up to my grandmas house and gave candy to little children probably scared them quite a lot...
Then we went trick or treating with all my cousins and a few family friends and it was altogether quite fantastic!!

Tomorrow is daylight savings time.
WHOO HOO!!!!!!!!!!!

Tomorrow I am going to go to church, and make myself some fairy houses and TP's.
Why? Why not!!
I think that everyone should make themselves a nice fairy house every once in a while ^_^

On a side note, I got my hair cut!!
Just layered and thinned though- I didn't want any length off.

May thy Sunday serve thee well,
Hanna

Cafeteria food

I'm starting to think that teachers are starting to get tired of us students so they're poisening our food.

~NOTE!! I'm talking about high school food. Elementary school food was just wonderful and dandy and I miss it.~

Take today for example!
I usually have home lunch but today I had school lunch and i have nicknamed it Mushy Water.
I had mushy water with fish for lunch. DELISH.
So.
I got my tray and went to sit down. I looked at my food. At first, the gray lump almost looked like potatoes... with fake cheese. Maybe.
I risked my life and took a bite.
It tasted like old warm water. With lumps.
Turns out that smooshed cauliflower tastes like old water with lumps.
Mushy Water.

MMHM!!!

So, because I'm bored I will ramble for a few minutes about radom things. You may skip this portion if you would like because it probably won't make any sense.

from now on i'm going to type without correcting my mistakes bbecause i do that quite a lot and sometimes i wonder what it touls would look like if i didnt correct tanyging becayse i'm actually a really bad typest cind of cal i men gal i MEAN goodness you see how gterrigle i am it bbprobaly doesn't help tha im sitting in a really fancy posiition but anyway i was realding my vbery dear friend emma's post today and realized that boys dont like me either so we have even more in common and then i rememberd how we used to go into a wonderful ladys backyard and do wonderfully random things and so a few weeks ago i wen back there again and i wasl looking for our fairy houses and i saw part of brookesb tub but i couldnt find mine or yours so it was kind of sadddening so i decided that i would make anotherone and put it back there because a backyard liekt that needs a few fairy houses if i do say so myself.

Okay! done with that. that was actually kind of hard since i'm so used to correcting stuff!

Have a good evening everyone! I'll post halloween pictures soon :)

What happens...

What happens when you get two amazingly attractive teens, a camera, a super cool backyard and windows picture viewer?
THIS! ^_^

Jess on the swing. I had to climb up on a bar to get this one :D so be grateful!!

Jess took this one. I have no idea how she made it look so good! I tried it, (down below somewhere) and it didn't turn out NEARLY as good.

This is probably one of my favorites because everything is really accented :)

Another head pic but with different editing!

 ANOTHER FAVORITE!!!!!!

Here it is. Not nearly as good but it still turned out nice.

I really like this one too. Heck, I like all of them!

I tried to make this one look like... mystical-y. like a fantasy type dealio.

JESSIE I LOVE YOUR FACE!!!!!!!!

I was experimenting with these next two. I focused on the flower and had jess in the back... I think it looks cool.

another front-focusey back picture. that made no sense.

I always feel like I look like a derp when I pose for pictures!!!!!
But I like this one :D

bwahahahahah jessie!!!!

I was trying to get jess to do something in this one and she couldn't do it and started laughing... this is what I wanted her to do and she did it by accident! HA!

another mystical-y one. I like it.. but it's weird at the same time.

birds eye view

I seriously love jessie's curled hair. LOVE IT!!! oh yeah.. and I love her too...

LIKE A BOSS

I really like this one... but I still feel like a derp

I like this one too

 Looking at the GORGEOUS sky

See?! gorgeous!!!

 Jessie likes it too ^_^

Crustation

James Maddi won a goldfish yesterday at his elementary schools fair, and today he decided to give it  name:

J. Maddi: I'm going to name him.... Gold.
Dad: Is his last name going to be Fish?
J. Maddi: Yup.
Dad: His middle name should be crustation.
Mom: Crustations have shells,
Dad: Yeah but his ANCESTORS were crustations.
J. Maddi: I'm just gonna name him Gold.

Ten thing friday!

The ten things that I am thinking about right this very minute

1. Popcorn sounds absolutely scrumptious right now.
2. Saying the word 'scrumptions' reminds me of my cousin.
3. My cousin is on his mission in  Germany and I should write him a letter.
4. I get to do my best friend's hair for homecoming tomorrow!!!!!!
5. If somebody used a helicopter to ask me out to prom, I would say yes.
6. I heard about no. 5 on the radio about 5 seconds ago, and I liked the idea so I wrote it down.
7. Alex Boye is the most wonderful, fantastic, amazing, spectacular, angel-like singer that I have ever had the privilage to see. He almost made me faint when I went to his concert. HOT DANG.
8. PIANO GUYS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
9. The radio just said the words 'plump and juicy'. Now it said 'welcome to delicious'.
10. Downeast basics is having a sale!!!

Hope that everyone has had a simply superb friday!!

Here is my favorite song, just for you.
With a little Legend of Korra twist :)
By my favorite singer.
WHO I MET AT KNEADERS!!!!!!!!!!
Best lunch EVAH!!!!

The Piano Guys

Dear Piano Guys,
You guys are my inspiration and my role models.
Thank you for everything that you do!
Love Hanna

Piano Guys video of the week
This one doesn't have Jon Schmidt in it, but Mr. Nelson here does a pretty dang fantastic job anyway :) This video definately inspired me to play the cello and I'm working on it! I just have to get a cello first.... When I end up finally getting to that point I want this guy to teach me, no matter what.
ANYWAY!

They're having a concert tomorrow night at Red Butte Gardens. *Sigh*
Wish I could go! But, being as fantastic as they are, the tickets are all sold out. :(
I've been to one of their concerts before, but it was before they became official :) best night ever!!!!!
I met Jon (sadly not Steve) and he signed my Piano book and I got a picture with him. It was fantastic!!! A night that I will NEVER forget :)
Did you know... Jon has an extremely attractive son.
Jus' sayin.
And he can sing :P

Anyway, just felt like sharing this and hope that you will find it as hilariously entertaining as I have!!

This is another one!

This is another one of those totally random posts where I don't have time to breath because I have to tell ya'll about all my totally AWESOME posts that will (maybe) be coming soon because I have been too (fill in blank) to do it in the past but I have a ton to catch up on like Girls camp and holy cow I havn't even posted my recital which was in like, May for heavens sakes and I promised that I would do it AND I WILL but it might be later than you expected.... or in this case later than later than you expected and now I have efy coming up soon and a wonderfully awesome and amazing person that I met at efy last year is visiting the state (that can't make up it's mind when it comes to weather) that I just so happened to live in and I am thrilled that we might get to see eachother because it's been a whole year since we even met and now we might get to see eachother again and I am very excited and a little loopy right now because I just watched My Big Fat Greek Wedding with my best friend and I was laughing like a maniac and that just reminded me of a post that I have to.... post.... about how my family plays phase 10 because it's quite funny and for some reason that just reminded me of how I'm going off of sugar (not totally.. just like sweets and treats and stuff) for eight weeks and it's been really hard with my mothers birthday and all of her friends bringing stuff from the Sweet Tooth Fairy over and then watching my family eat it while I go eat a carrot or something.

SO!
To sum it all up.
I'm tired.

'night!

The line up

It's been summer for about two weeks, and it's been great so far. I started re-reading the Fablehaven series, and am currently on the amazingly epic third book of the Mistborn series!

I started teaching piano this week to some ward kids! It's scary. BUT FUN!

I have a lot lined up for this summer :D
Girls camp is in a few weeks and I am very excited!
In July, I'm going to efy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Right after efy (!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!), I'll be heading up to ID to spend a week with my cousins who I never ever see due to poor planning!

I havn't done a Laugh of the day in a while.... so here ya'll go.

With uncontained glee,
Hanna

P.S. I found a really cool blog post on easymakesmehappy.blogspot.com that has a ton of cool and unique ways to end a letter- I've been trying some out in my past blogs. :D

REMINDING!!

Just reminding all ya'll that I have a choir concert tonight!
Starting at seven o clock, Provo High School will host their choirs final performance of the school year. The first half will be full of festival music that we've been working on for most of 2012. (Ladies Choir, (THAT'S ME!!!) will perform Psalm 23 (my favorite!), Go Down Moses, and Jubilate Deo.)
After all the festival music is over, there will be a short intermission!
Then we will come back out and sing a My Fair Lady medly, Dancing Through Life (from WICKED!!) and many other fun like songs. We will even be in costume. HOW FANCY!
Anyway! I would appreciate it if anyone could come. It's going to be a fun performance even if it is a little longer.
Provo High School
Seven O clock.

Cheerio,
Hanna

This is your random post for the day

Once upon a time....

There was a magical land called Forlotus.
People ate clouds with spoons, and life was happy.
Need I say more?

Anyway, I noticed that I hadn't posted in a week or two so I figured that I should say something to the world lest they think I was dead.
HERE I AM!!!
Alive and well :D

I started a drawing today in my sewing class and it's turning out looking really cool. I made the border out of a ton of random little doodles, then the center picture is a girl reading a book, and the stories are coming out of the book; like, a glass slipper, a necklace with a key, a little box that says "eat me," and such, all in a big blobbish sort of figure. It's really cool looking, if I do say so myself. I will post it when I'm done!

NEWS!
I have a piano recital this Saturday at the Piano Gallery in Orem. I believe that it starts at one o clock with prelude and then will probably conclude at two to two-thirty, since it's the may recital and awards will be given out. I will post videos this time. I said I would last time, but I didn't... but I WILL do it this time. I will be playing Melodies of Life by Nobuo Omatsu, Russ will be playing Anchors Aweigh, and J. Maddi will be playing Little Shooting Star.

Love and Lollies-
Hanna

Dear Sunshine

Dear Sunshine
Thank you for finally begininning to shine.
It's making my day!

Dear Hair
Thank you for cooperating.

Dear Lawn Mower
Recently I've noticed that you're getting a little heavy, maybe it's time that you cut back on the grass. Then again, my arms could just be limp noodles...

Dear Russel
Thank you VERY MUCH for throwing cheese down my shirt.
Sleep with one eye open tonight.

Dear One Direction
Thank you for your music. I had lots of fun singing to it into my hairbrush this morning.

Dear Ipod
You have been aging gracefully. But, regretfully, it's catching up to you. It's partially my fault, ramming you accidentially into the table, but lets focus on the future, shall we?

May the sun shine on your conquest this day,
Hanna

Life's Good, ya know?

I'm going to St. George next week! And my mom made brownies. mmmm. dang good brownies. If you take all that (sunburn excluded, unless it decides to turn into a tan..) and mush it up in a big gooey ball, you just have to think that lifes good, ya know? OH! and I discovered a new band. Well, my friend introduced me to a new band. Boy band. From Britian. Attractive Brittish men. mmhmm. almost as good as brownies.
Anyway. Lifes good. :D

This is what me and my group did for school solo/ensemble. We made it to region and it's on Wednesday! Super excited! Don't mind my absolutely lovely introduction.. I was so nervous that I forgot to breathe. Anyway! Hope you enjoy! ^_^ (The song is called Homage by Z. Randall Stroope if you didn't catch it.)

LOL of the day

(Russel pulls a pretzel out of the toy basket beside the couch)

Russ: Mom, I just found a pretzel. Should I eat it?

Mom: (Silently laughing) You do whatever you think is best honey.

Russ: OK! (Throws the pretzel into his mouth with a satisfied grin.)

Have a good Sunday evening!

Sunday, February 19, 2012

There's just something about Sunday afternoon.

I love to bake/cook desserts. I'm not the best at it, but I like to do it. Especially on Sunday afternoons. I came home from church today and decided to make prune cake! Sounds gross, I know. But you need to give it a chance. The recipe is from The Pioneer Woman cook, and is simply wonderful! Anyway, I just felt like telling y'all about it. Hope everyone's enjoying their Sunday and is super excited about the day off tomorrow!!

I wish.

I wish my hair would behave.
I wish I would quit getting sick for crying out loud.
I wish I had more time!!
I wish my face was immune to zits.
I wish that healthy stuff would taste good.
I wish I had chocolate.
I wish I had some cookies over here.
I wish that sweets were healthy, cause then wish number 5 would be granted.
I wish those darned chickens would feed themselves.
I wish I had more interesting things to write about....

HAPPY 13th BIRTHDAY JARED!

James Maddison and I woke up five minutes before this... Jared looks happy!
He got this really cool referee card. The "shirt" opened up and we all had signed it.
 He's so excited!
See all that tissue paper? While Jared was pulling it all out, my dad referenced A Christmas Story. "There could be ANYTHING in there!!"
It's a tradition in our family to have rasberry powdered donuts on birthdays. James Maddison looks zonked :D
Jared got 63 bucks IN CASH! Plus all his other birthday money from grandparents etc., he added about 100 dollars to his stash, making a grand total of 200 and something dollars. He is very excited to spend it :)

HAPPY BIRTHDAY JARED!!

They're done!!

A few weeks ago my lovely YW leader taught us mia maids how to make some adorable pajama pants to give as gifts to our moms/sisters. I thought that they were SUPER CUTE, so I decided to make some of my own! Since I didn't have hemming stuff I just put two buttonholes in the bottoms and pulled ribbon through them. THANKS A BUNCH RACHEL!

It's amazing what can happen when you deep clean your room...

First, I found a box full of old perfume bottles.
I had gotten them when I went to Florida and these were my favorites.

 Oh How Lovely :D
It's a swan! How totally cool is that?
Can you tell what this one is from the picture? It's supposed to be a seal balancing a ball on it's nose! It's much easier to tell in person.
This one is so cool. It's a violin! I think it's from France.
 I LOVE this one.
The designs they put on old perfume bottles are just so cool!
Next, I found a letter that I had written to myself to be opened in 2022.
Then, I found this amazing wooden box that I got from a garage sale. The picture on the front is of a Thailand sailing boat with mountains in the backround. That little yellow tag going across the top left corner is informing me that that box is a "Wood Product". HOLY COW!!!
Inside, were chopsticks, some kind of sauce holder, and a little holder FOR the sauce holder. Pretty cool, huh?
Here's a close up. All the little holders and chopsticks and such have a miniature version of the boat on the front of the box.
And here's a close up of the boat! ...Sorry 'bout the glare....

Also, as I was looking through some old journals of mine, I discovered that I used to spell "News," like "nooz." Snazzy, right?
